MOUNT EDEN GUEST HOUSE

Mount Eden Guest House is a haven for the discerning traveller. In the leafy suburb of Zwaanswyk, in the Constantia valley, the area offers a wide variety of  attractions and activities.  Situated only 30 minutes away from the city centre of Cape Town (recently ranked by the Mercer World Wide Quality of Living survey as the Best City to live in compared to any other city in Africa and the Middle East), Mount Eden exudes the peace and tranquillity of its rural setting.

Nestled in a quiet cul de sac on the mountain slopes below Elephant’s Eye, the guest house stands on one acre of land neighbouring the Tokai forest and with a panoramic view of False Bay and the Hottentot’s Holland mountains in the distance.
The mountain range forms part of the Table Mountain National Park, which extends from Cape Town through to Cape Point. Silvermine nature reserve, renowned for its fynbos which is unique to the Cape floral kingdom, borders onto Zwaanswyk.

Close to the Constantia wine route, the guest house is surrounded by award winning Cape wine farms, notably Steenberg, Buitenverwachting and Uitsig. For the gourmet diner, the area boasts some of the finest restaurants in Cape Town, if not South Africa, notably La Colombe, Catharina’s and Buitenverwachting. Scenic Ou Kaapse Weg, the mountain pass which links the area with Noordhoek and Chapman’s Peak, is a few minutes away. Trendy Kalk Bay, with its antique shops and popular sea facing restaurants, is an easy 10 minute drive along the main coastal road.
